Our tribute to Macon Sumerlin is now complete. It has been a most rewarding year to perform a Sumerlin composition each month since last October including the DECEMBER STORY one act opera in December and our last concert was his EASTER STORY an Easter Cantata with Orchestra and the Adult Choir.

TRIBUTE TO MACON SUMERLIN

1919-2005

During 2005-2006 MUSIC AT HEAVENLY REST will present several of the late Macon Sumerlin’s music compositions as a tribute to his musical genius and his life.

Dr. Sumerlin was a long time member of Heavenly Rest and was a renown composer and teacher.

Saturday, December 17 7:00PM DECEMBER STORY - one act opera featuring Richard Burke, George Hogan, Penny Hogan, Bruce Cain, Joey Hogan, Mike Scarborough, Shelly Kennedy with Orchestra and the Adult Choir.
